NEW / UPDATED INFO for 2022

We are planning to continue to operate Distribution with the same set up as 2020, due to continued COVID precautions and in order to keep everyone safe + healthy. We will have Shares presorted for pick up ease, masks required, distanced lines, etc.

  • Because of COVID precautions, we will not be requiring the normal three work shifts per Season ----however, we will again need a consistent group to PRE-SORT Shares for DISTRIBUTION. The lion's share of the work falls in the first shift, though we will need help for both shifts consistently. If you are willing + available to help, we need you! Please let us know on your sign up form.

  • The share prices include a (scaled) $15 administrative fee. $3 per member of this admin fee goes towards Just Food affinity membership dues for our CSA. The price of vegetable shares has gone up $1 per week, but the fruit and egg share prices have not gone up at all this year. The coffee weekly cost went up $1, but the size of the bag went up as well.

  • Please Note: We have heard members concerns about the use of paper and plastic bags but that this is the only way we can make it feasible for the CSA to work sensibly due to COVID

    • Paper bags are used primarily for sorting Shares and should not be depended upon to get your Share home safely. We HIGHLY recommend bringing reusable bags along to every pick up!

    • There is composting at the 64th Street Community garden and we need "browns" to mix with the compost. Paper bags can be used as browns. We suggest people want to leave their used paper bags with us or bring them back to Distribution and we will bring them to the garden to be used in the compost box.

  • We are excited to welcome City League Coffee, run by Dane and Lindsay and their kids, Omri and Scout to the Sunset Park CSA. This is a new partner for 2022 and we are thrilled to add City League to the lineup. They are a family run company with roots right here in Sunset Park! They roast high quality and ethically sourced coffee and their heart is with the Sunset Park community.

  • Cynthia Lamb, of Moonrise Bakehouse is offering a special CSA order system for week-to-week ordering of baked goods to be picked up at Distribution. More info to come via email!
