We've been asked what distribution and volunteering looks like for the 2022 Season, and it will look a lot like 2020 + 2021.

more info can also be found on our “2022 Season + COVID provisions” page

VOLUNTEER SHIFTS

Because we will not be requiring three work shifts from each member (we are trying to keep a smaller amount of consistent volunteers), this Season you will be asked to support the Sunset Park CSA in other creative ways --- by being adaptable and flexible with our changing circumstances, by approaching pick up with a generous, flexible and patient attitude of service (even if you're not volunteering), etc.

We are also looking for volunteers

  • To help us at DISTRIBUTION to presort shares - please sign up on THIS FORM if you’d like more info about DISTRIBUTION

  • To DELIVER shares to those unable to come to pick up - please sign up on THIS form if you're willing to DELIVER

Your assistance and cooperation will make all the difference in how our 2022 Season goes!

DISTRIBUTION

  • Our plan is to assemble a small, consistent (masked) team to pre-sort shares into paper bags before pick ups start.

  • Please let us know if you'd be willing to be on this team (if you haven't already) and you will be hearing from us with more details soon!

  • Members will come and pick up shares from 5:30-7:30pm on Wednesday's at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church.

  • Change from 2019/past seasons:

    • We plan on limiting the number of people inside during pick up, and making a distanced line outside for the busier times.

    • There will be less "choose one.." options in regard to kale, eggplant and the like.

    • We recommend HIGHLY that you still bring reusable bags of some sort so you can get home safely with your share --- since the veggies are often a bit wet and we will only be utilizing the paper bags for sorting, not for heavy lifting/carrying home.

    • We will not be providing spare disposable shopping bags or taking back egg cartons until further notice.

    • Bread will be packaged individually in paper bags when it arrives fresh from Cynthia the Baker!

  • Please be patient and flexible with us and we will be communicating any necessary changes in the future via email and here on the site.
